Margaret Bourke-White

Why do we need a country ruled by us, women? A lot of reasons all along history teach us that is the best solution.

Miss Margaret Bourke-White (New York 1904)

The american documentary photographer and photojournalist was «the first Western professional photographer permitted into the Soviet Union» from 1930 to 1932. For that reason, she was doggedly spied on by the F.B.I. as she was suspected of sympathizing with communism. During years agents from F.B.I., under Edgar J. Hoover’s direction, read her mail, accessed her personnel files at work, searched her luggage during travel, and relied on informants to keep an active file on her.

We are certain that if she had lived in a matriarchal era, Margaret would not have been spied upon, and she could have developed her career with greater freedom and security.
